日本映画　Japanese films

Watching films is good to study Japanese. I wanted to be a film critic a long time ago, so I watched thousands of films. Watching films was useful to study English and to understand the lifestyle and culture of people of the English speaking world. Watching Japanese films is the same. I recommend you to watch a lot of Japanese films based on different themes before you visit Japan. My most favourite Japanese film is Ichikawa Kon`s `Sasame-yuki` (The Makioka Sisters). I adore the beauty of kimonos in the film.

日本語を勉強するのに良いのは映画を見ることです。私は昔、映画評論家になりたかったので、何千本もの映画を見ました。映画を見ることは「英語の勉強」と「英語圏の人々の生活と文化を知る」ことに役立ちました。

日本映画を見ることもそうです。日本に行く前に、テーマ別にたくさん映画を見ておくことをお勧めします。私の一番好きな日本映画は市川崑監督の「細雪」(1983)です。着物の美しさにうっとりします。
